Dr Omotayo Lawal

Dr Omotayo (Tayo) Lawal, FRACGP (MB BS), is a General Practitioner who is dedicated to a patient centred approach to healthcare. She is good-natured and meticulous with over a decade worth of practice experience.

Dr Lawal has been with Macksville Medical Centre since 2020. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and is certified by the United States Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.

Her special interests include women’s health, children and adolescent health, mental health, chronic disease management, preventative health, and general well-being.

Dr Lawal is multilingual and speaks English, Hausa and Yoruba.

Dr Muhammad Rafiq Azam

Dr Muhammad Rafiq Azam, MRCGP [Int.] UK (MB BS, MCPS) is a General Practitioner who has devoted 25 years to general practice internationally. Obtaining international Membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) in 2018, he has worked across Pakistan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Canada, enjoying working and living in regional areas.

Dr Muhammad is committed to patient-centred care, compassionate communication and individualised treatment plans to improve patient health outcomes. He provides comprehensive women’s health, men’s health, and paediatric patient care, with a strong focus on chronic diseases, cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal and genitourinary disorders, skin conditions and mental health.

Dr. Muhammad communicates effectively English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Siraiki, and Arabic.

Dr Sangita Khobragade

Dr Sangita, FRACGP (MB BS), has completed her Fellowship with the RACGP. She joined us at Macksville Medical Centre in 2021, but has worked as a General Practitioner in rural and regional areas for the last nine years. She enjoys seeing patients from different age groups and all aspects of general practice.

Her special interests include skin checks and excisions of skin lesions, chronic disease management (chronic kidney disease, COPD, diabetes, osteoporosis), children’s health, women’s health including contraceptive device and treatment of menopausal symptoms, mental health, and travel medicine.

Dr Sangita is fluent in English, Marathi and Hindi.

 

Dr Kimbell

Dr Ricki Kimbell

Dr. Ricki Kimbell, brings with her a wealth of experience spanning 30 years. Dr Kimbell moved to Australia aged 18 and embarked on a fulfilling career in healthcare. Initially trained as a registered nurse (RN), Dr Kimbell graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1994, with a Bachelor of Medicine (B Med). Further demonstrating her commitment to comprehensive patient care, Dr. Kimbell went on to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Psychology (GCertPsych), and obtained her General Practitioner Specialist qualification in 2001 as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). With a career spanning over 30 years, Dr Kimbell provides has developed a keen interest in preventative medicine, family medicine, diabetes, renal medicine, mental health, and urgent care.

 

Physiotherapy at the Macksville Medical Centre

Physiotherapist Kashif Ahmed

With over fifteen years of experience, Kashif Ahmed holds a Bachelors in Physiotherapy, and has worked in India, Saudi Arabia and in Australia for four years.

He is a passionate physiotherapist with an interest in sports and rehabilitation therapy. He has treated a vast range of cases such as back aches, shoulder and knee issues. He specialises in manual therapy, falls prevention and balance training.

He speaks English, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu and Arabic languages.
